I like to call myself a coding ninja. You could say I’m not that humble (and you’d be right), but it’s more than a very obvious way to overly promote myself. It’s a way of life. Let’s break it down (why on earth do geeks insist on breaking things down?):
- Coding: I code. Duh. The world is controlled by computers, so I like to control them. Coding is a way for me to feel omnipotent and all powerful. I write the code, and the computer does what I expect it to (well, unless there are bugs.)
- Ninja: is there anything cooler than a ninja? Answer: yes there is, and they are known as Zombies. But that’s not the point. A ninja is almost the perfect warrior. Almost because nobody is perfect. Except me. So think of me as a perfect ninja.
So why do I code? First, a man’s gotta eat… and buy an occasional private jet. Secondly, I love it, and because of that you’d have trouble believing me when I tell you I’m not a workaholic.
Ok enough with the silly rant. Let’s move on.
What do I code in?
I’ve been coding since I was 11 years old, so you can already guess I’m not a one programming language kind of fella. Let’s name the languages I’m great at: C++, C, PHP, Java, C#, Python, Javascript. And then there are some others (Perl, Visual Basic, Pascal) which I’m also great at but I haven’t used in a while.
Can you hire me?
Well, can you? I do all my work through this awesome company I co-founded with this awesome partner. We do programming (duh!) and design (double duh!). And we are great at it.
If you are asking what our rates are, they depend. On the type of gig, obviously. So just contact us if you want to book us for your awesome project.
I think I’ve just said awesome far too many times.
My open source work
I do enjoy working on open source projects. Not only because it gives me great pleasure to meet other fellow coders and work with them, but also because I fully support the idea of free software.
I’m not a zealot though. I don’t think commercial software shouldn’t exist. That’s baloney. I think that both free and private software should coexist. Don’t you? I want to live in a world where I can get stuff for free, and where I can also pay for stuff. Putting it in simpler terms (did I really need to?), this guy should not have a problem living in the same planet with this other guy. Crazy dream huh?
Wait a second, did I just say baloney? Oh man… Anyway, check out my projects if you want to find out what I’m working on these days.
